What Are You Reading Now?

Post  Jessica on Fri Mar 27, 2009 2:02 am

What books are you reading currently?

I'm reading This Present Darkness, Dracula, Eragon, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, The Jungle Books, Inkheart (for like the tenth time?), and The Shack.
Yeah. Quite the list. Rolling Eyes

I'm currently reading aside from the Bible,

"A Child Called It" by Dave Pelzer

"Happily Ever After: A Real-Life Look at Your First Year of Marriage . . . and Beyond" by Toben & Joanne Heim

Oh, yeah. I'm also reading the newest "Maximum Ride" book. It's not the greatest series (more for juvenile readers in my opinion, yet considered teen reading for some reason), but it's just entertaining enough... And I think it's been going for too long. The series is on the sixth book and getting to be somewhat repetitive, as if James Patterson is running out of ideas. There IS a time for a story to end. x_x

Right now I'm reading "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Magician's Nephew" again. Plan on reading all 7 again. But I also need to finish "This Present Darkness" and read "Piercing the Darkness."

I just finished Magician's Nephew and am in the middle of The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe. I also need to pick up where I left off with "This Present Darkness." And I can't wait for Inheritance Cycle: Book #4 to come out! Whenever that is...

I am now reading "Brother Odd" by Dean Koontz, the second in his "Odd" series. It's starting out really good!

"Forever Odd" is the 2nd one
"Brother Odd" is the 3rd
(*gasp* did you skip the 2nd book? "Forever Odd" has some AWESOME stuff in it!)

I never finished "Brother Odd", but I bought "Odd Hours" (book #4)
--Someday I'm gonna read through the series again, I LOVE Odd Thomas (the name's cool too!)--

I'm currently reading a copy of The Lord of the Rings I bought in India! And a book by Joel Osteen, but I can't actually remember the title. Haha! It's his latest one to come out. I need to read some Narnia series here soon too.
